The John of Gaunt School

We have also achieved the Investor in People Award, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the Sport England Award, Healthy Schools status, The FA Charter Standard Award and the FMSIS Award, which is for financial management standards in schools.
Our Specialist Schools Status in Science, Mathematics and Computing allows us to quite literally open doors to learning. Family, community and e-learning opportunities extend the boundaries of the regular school day. We enjoy working closely with Clarendon College, offering 46 post-16 courses between us. We are committed to our students not only achieving academic excellence but also to developing their personal qualities and skills through participation in a broad range of activities.
Our programme provides students with the opportunity to develop a range of key skills through involvement with the school and local communities. Many will take the chance to work closely with business and industry while others will choose to work to improve and provide opportunities for others. Our programme is flexible and can be arranged to fit each student's personal requirements.
