This course deals with the workings of computers, such as problem solving and programming in a higher level language, number and coding systems, hardware and components, networking and the internet, programming paradigms, database design and communication networking.

Entry
You will need 5 A*-C GCSEs. No ICT qualification is required
Attendance
One year to AS plus one further year to complete the full A Level.
Assessment
This is through a combination of coursework and examinations.
Moving on
The whole course is based on studying and applying the use of ICT in the workplace so it is difficult to think of any career in which a study of the use of computers at this level would not be advantageous.
Computing A Level provides a good basis for further study or a career in the IT industry.
