A range of practical and theoretical tasks covering the construction, characteristics and properties of materials and components; industrial and commercial practice. You will gain an understanding of the development of design methods and design in the human context.
Entry
You will need 5 A*-C GCSEs.
Attendance
One year to AS plus one further year to complete the full A Level.
Assessment
This is through a combination of coursework and examinations.
Moving on
The course can accommodate students with a wide variety of career aspirations. In the past, students have often used their Design and Technology work to assist entry to Art College, whilst others use it to gain entry to degree courses in Engineering. The majority of Design&Technology students go on to Higher Education.
