Content
This course answers the questions the naturally inquisitive ask themselves about people and place. We concentrate on finding our own answers to our own questions upon the physical and human world; focusing on how they both affect the other. As a result we concentrate on academic skills: such as the enquiry process, data collection and presentation, and independent studying skills. We also develop working as part of a team needed for field trips and group work.
Special Features
We enquire about the physical and human world. This results in field trips to places like Chesil Beach, to Bath and Bristol. We also combine the skills we learn on day field trips to a residential field trip to Slapton in Devon.
Entry
You will need 5 A* - C GCSEs with Geography GCSE or a B in Humanities GCSE.
Attendance
1 year for AS and a further year to a full A2 Level.
Assessment
Examinations at the end of each year.
Moving on
The combination of the scientific approach and human and physical subject matter leads to almost any academic subject. The importance of thinking skills and enquiry process along with working as part of a team leads to working in the work place.
